If you love a particular type of art, why not make it your career? You can use your art directly or work in arts administration at an organization that promotes the art you love. If you choose to use your art directly, the types of positions you’ll be looking for will vary widely depending on the art, but for those interested in arts administration, here are a few ideas:

  • Development Associate
  • Communications Assistant
  • Office Manager
  • Production Coordinator
  • Assistant Theatre Manager
  • Tour Assistant

While your need for a degree varies depending on what art you go into, you need a bachelor’s degree for most arts administration positions, along with an interest in the art you’re working in.
