Looking for an entry level job or internship in beauty? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Beauty is a broad field where the finer points change often thanks to beauty trends. If you’re interested in a career in beauty, a few options to consider include:

Beauty marketing: Market a beauty product
Public relations: Maintain the public image of the product’s brand
Product development: Create new beauty products, including makeup, hair and skin care products, and nail polish
Sales: Sell beauty products to stores

Most of these positions require a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a love of beauty and style. Jobs in the beauty industry are competitive, so give yourself a step up with internships and other projects.

You can also work directly with customers in positions such as nail manicurist, hairstylist, or makeup artist. These positions don’t require a degree but do require some specialized training.
