The health care industry encompasses everything that covers the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. While your doctors and nurses certainly play a role in health care, the industry involves so much more.

While a position as a doctor or other physician requires medical school and professional training, lots of positions in health care are suitable for recent grads. A few possibilities include:

Pharmaceutical companies: Work with the companies that create medicines and health products
Research labs: Research and develop new health technologies
Public health: Work with organizations to promote health
Operations: Keep the day-to-day operations of a health care center running smoothly
